DKP SYSTEM

Loot will be done through a DKP system that utilizes tiers. This system is designed to spread the loot around the guild in what we feel is the fairest manner possible. This system rewards the player for the time they put. So the more you raid, the more DKP you will have to spend on loot. Therefore the more loot you will win.

How Earning DKP Works:
A raid's DKP value is calculated by loot value divided by number of participants. For instance: if we kill a mob on a 54 man raid, and 3 items drop that all sell for 9 DKP each, the raid value would be 27 divided by 54 or 0.50 DKP earned per person for that mob.

Each item will be assigned a value from 1 - 25 DKP, and any person wanting an item will send a tell to the officer who will announce a price for said item and ask for tells. Please do not send blank tells, state that you are interested in the item. The officer will then look over the DKP totals and award the item to the person who is in the highest tier. People under 50% raid attendance in the past 30 days lose priority to people with greater than 50% attendance. Members are responsible for being familiar with their own current DKP and attendance levels.

Tiers:
Tier 1 = 45.00 DKP - Infinity
Tier 2 = 40.00 DKP - 44.99 DKP
Tier 3 = 35.00 DKP - 39.99 DKP
Tier 4 = 30.00 DKP - 34.99 DKP
Tier 5 = 25.00 DKP - 29.99 DKP
Tier 6 = 20.00 DKP - 24.99 DKP
Tier 7 = 15.00 DKP - 19.99 DKP
Tier 8 = 10.00 DKP - 14.99 DKP
Tier 9 = 5.00 DKP - 9.99 DKP
Tier 10 = 0.00 DKP - 4.99 DKP

Bidding:
If there is more than one bidder on an item, and they are in the same tier and attendance standing, they will be asked to /join the bidding channel (TABid) and an open auction will be done. Multiple people may bid on 1 item and the bidding will start at the current DKP price given. People will be required to bid against each other up to the total DKP they have, without going negative or until they all drop out. The highest bid wins and the person pays the price that they bid.

If duplicates of an item drop, the top bids win that item for the lowest winning price. It is legal to bid the same as a current bid as long as it would still be a winning bid. In fact, it is legitimate to bid lower than the highest bid as long as it is currently a winning bid. If you bid higher than you want to thinking that you will get for the current lowest winning price, you may get surprised if the bidding continues. Don't complain if that happens.

The items are awarded starting at the players at the highest bid. Bidding first at a price gets priority if not enough exist to cover everyone that bid that amount. If items still exist, then the process continues awarding to those at the next highest bid. The last item awarded in this way is at the lowest winning bid and the price that all winners are charged for the item.

Negative DKP:
You are allowed to purchase an item that will send you below a positive value. There are no tiers in the negative DKP range, if all bidders on an item are negative, the one that is least negative in the highest priority will win.

Priority:

Full Member
Meets all the current requirements for flags, gear and AAs (link to thread to come). Full members can slide back to a Level 2 member due to low attendance, falling far behind on flags, lack of attention to their AA's and gear, or poor raid performance. Full members must maintain above 50% raid attendance.

Full Member with Negative DKP Balance
A member who meets the above criteria but has a negative DKP balance.

Level 2 Member
These members have a higher priority than recruits for loot. They will remain in this stage until they meet the requirements of gear, level, AAs, and flags we have set for them to become a full member. This also includes members who are not meeting the 50% raid attendance requirement or have continuously displayed poor performance on raids due to but not limited to: AFK’ing, not following directions, disruptive behavior, or have been neglecting their AA’s, flags, and gear requirements for their class as a full member.

Level 2 Member with Negative DKP Balance
A member who meets the above criteria but has a negative DKP balance.

Recruit Level 1
First 2 weeks as a recruit, minimum.

Recruit Level 1 with Negative DKP Balance
A recruit who meets the above criteria but has a negative DKP balance.

Approved Alt
A full member’s approved alternate character, who must be guild tagged. If loot is bought for an alt, the member who is buying that loot will be charged 1/3rd of the original price.

Unapproved Secondary Alt
A full member’s unapproved alternate character, one that does not need to be guild tagged. If loot is bought for an alt, the member who is buying that loot will be charged the original price.

Invite
A guest of Tactical Assault on a raid.

Miscellaneous:
At times, loot will be distributed by the process of rolling. Any loot that is not DKP will be rolled on (such as Anguish augs, and any member that wishes to acquire the item will be required to /random 1000 for said item. The way loot is distributed is up to the discretion of the raid leader, but it usually follows the same procedures as our DKP system.

Certain items (such as 2.0 orbs) will be given out by officers. Attendance, class need, and other items (including how far along you are in your quest) will be taken into account on these decisions.

Other members cannot be botted on a raid and bid on loot unless said item is going to rot. Also botting another member without prior notification of officers or without being asked to bot said toon by an officer because their class is needed is punishable by loss of DKP for that raid and a loss of 10 DKP for the person doing the botting. This is only fair to other members of the guild.
